This is a generalized board used for all manner of plotting purposes, whether character-specific or wide-range for larger site involvement. You may also use it as an RP/thread request if need be. The Northern Territory, the second largest of the main territories, is first of all separated in half with one as the southern part of Hokkaido, offering fertile land with plenty of rain and water. The other is situated on the northern tip of Honshu, the main island. Naturally, since the area consists of edges, mountains are lower in the Northern Territory, the place being bordered by any of those higher landforms. The majority of the territory sits on Hokkaido, including the castle, and most of the territory is protected by coastline, mountains, or simply the cold weather. The North often sees peace because of its location above all, seeing as few wish to risk the harsher conditions, demon or no, for any form of war.

Flat lands, flowers spread over the grass, trees scattered here and there, as well as a shining river traveling through the middle, it is the perfect land to be called Moonstone Valley. The river isn't big at all, instead, it could be easily jumped over. Little to large stones are polished within this river, known as the moonstones, hence the name. Surrounding the valley are many 'protective' mountains called The Pearly Guards. When looking straight toward the valley and the mountains, it reveals the mountains to be in a cresnent shape, a beautiful but also deadly barrier that could be the cause for defeat or victory.

These fields are best known at night, when they literally glow a silvery hue. When the moonlight hits the fields ever night, the grass becomes a sea of silver, flowing when the wind is present. Not much is known as to why the fields look silver and no other territory gets the same look, but it certainly a sight many wish to see. Traveling straight through the fields is a calm river, adding to the tranquility of the fields. During a full moon at night, the fields no longer are silver, but a pure white. Many believe this to be a blessing given by the gods. The rumor is that when the fields no longer shine, that great danger will come to them. Whether these theories are true or not, the Silver Snow fields is a beautiful sight indeed.

Consuming the south of the main island, the west of Shikoku, and the north of Kyushu, is the Southern Territory, reigned over by Lord Kyoudai, this is the largest of the four main territories. Craggy shores and coastlines are guarded by outposts, making sure that the southern territory isn‘t under any danger from different vantage points. This domain includes Nagasaki and Hagi, as well as plenty of other human trading and fishing ports. Kyushu’s region includes old forests and some ongoing steaming volcanoes with hot springs included. The share of land mounted on Shikoku sports a variety of land, mostly with mountains, rivers, cliffs, and the occasional surrounding whirlpool, both natural and the results of demonic activity.

Surrounding the Southern Castle, and much farther outwards from it as well, sets Shugojinmori. Old, gray, and worn with the passing of time, it is a large forest with monuments of trees. Mostly all the trees have matured fully, towering up for a long length, a pillar of silver bark rubbed smooth by rain and wind. Some trees haven’t made it to the present, and often there will be a large log blocking your path. Every tree here happens to be a hardwood tree, so when autumn rolls around, it is an amazing sight to see all the leaves drifting slowly, one by one, to the ground, encouraged in this magical journey by the occasional playful fall breeze. However, entering it is not the most advisable of actions. A fair number of demons call this place their home, making it a perfect buffer zone for any aspiring invaders seeking to come and sneak into the Southern Castle. Living close to the taiyoukai of the south, most of the demons find their loyalty in their taiyoukai, so it's not advised to show any ill intent while traveling through this area.

One of the most well known cities along with Toyko is Masaotoyuu. Its name revolves around the great house of the Daishimairi, which is located upon an island surrounded by sapphire blue waters. Four bridges connect to the island and the house is a geisha house, with inns and restaurants as well. The decorations of this house is all sorts of blues, greens, and the water-like colors, along with the colorful trees of pink, red, and the natural greens as well. The rest of Masaotoyuu is filled with tourist spots and great colors to keep a friendly atmosphere for people to come and stay.

Sitting upon Honshu, bordering its east coasts, rests the Eastern Territory, smallest of the four main domains. This place has a share of towering mountains, as all parts of Japan do, mainly as you go more inland. To its eastern and coastal side, the land becomes flatter with less jutting landforms. The area usually retains a mild climate, obviously getting colder as you head upwards in altitude. For the most part, the Eastern Territory experiences cold weather, though usually not cold enough to snow, with humid hot seasons because of a southeast seasonal wind. It is somewhat detached from any major human places, not even extending onto the to miniature peninsulas stretching eastwards, thus neglecting to take control of the fishing villages.

An expansive stretch of woods, reaching across the majority of the eastern territories. Dotting the lower reaches of mountains, and flat stretches of plains. The forest is not quite as lush as others but it travels, unbroken, for mile upon mile. It can be seen from a great distance, a raw stretch of green going on for what seems to be eternity, only hindered by great mountains; reaching upwards to the heavens above. Some ancient trees live in the deepest parts of the woods; ancient trees, pure and untainted by humans or demons. But many ancient spirits call these great beings their home, safely cradled in their far reaching branches. Deep in its depths, Zougemori houses many demons; great and small, all attracted by the constant sense of isolation. Here, primal law is all that rules; here, the sunset will often mean the end of a life.

Located closer to the southern border of the East is a labyrinth of caves, like a network of very large tunnels stretches through a mountain area. This maze is better known as the Rinnegankutsu. After you reach beyond the entrance, a dazzling display of different sorts of minerals and crystals awaits you. Water also runs through here, forming natural bridges, and other unique stone structures formed over a mass of time. However, most people do not dare even step foot in this dark, damp hole, much less explore it. For one thing, what would you do for light? Maybe a map would help too, in this immense network. And for another, locals tell stories about lost souls coming here to wait for the chance to find another body. Whether it is true or not, and if it is, even if those souls are not trying to find a body by way of possessions, the thought of lingering souls is enough to make anyone twitchy. Besides, beyond that, the story tells of a very powerful evil spirit living in the center, and should anyone stumble too close to his home, they will be stuck in an endless nightmare.

Ruled over by Lady Asseisha, the West is the second smallest territory on Japan, managing to cover just a bit more area than the East. With many villages scattered across the area, large and small, and many different landscapes to glace over, this area often is not appreciated how it should be. There are several big tourist cities, the largest of which is near the taiyoukai’s castle, but there are also two or three more which rival it as well, one near each the northern, eastern, and southern borders of this territory. The smaller villages, on the other hand, are scattered everywhere – no predicting when you will run across one. Also, any type of landscape, landmark, or whatever else you can think of, your bound to come across at some point. The West, though a smaller territory, should not be underestimated.

The earth slopes downward in a bowl-like indentation, and there lays Amaisadameko. Crystalline waters lap at smooth shores; trees lay scattered across its banks. The sound of far off life is a constant companion; on each point of the lake- like the points of a compass -lays a large docking point, a place of crossing for common travelers. The waters are clear. To look through them is to peer into a depthless mirror. A heavy blackness is all that can be seen; the true depths of the lake hidden from curious eyes. On cloudy nights, however, the deep darkness is lit from within like a thousand tiny fireflies as strange and ominous creatures venture to the surface. It is only on nights like these that Amaisadameko truly awakens.

Located at the southernmost part of the Western Territory, this huge valley marks the end of the land that the taiyoukai rules over. Koketsutani is a very low, large valley, and is home to many variety demons, powerful and weak. The valley, though not exactly what one might call elegant in appearance, with its browning grass and slightly wilted tree clumps, has a certain welcoming feel to it, and often attracts others to it. Which makes no sense whatsoever, right, being infested with demons? Well, not exactly. There are a two or three large villages scattered throughout the valley, and as a circumstance to many of their own kind being slaughtered by the oddly vengeful villagers, the demons have come to accept the fact that the mortals are to be left alone. A sort of silent truce has come between them, and so, even if a human not from the valley passes through, there is only a slim chance of being attacked. There is one large flaw in this valley, though – the journey down is a dangerous one. Many paths have been carved into the edges if the steep downhill drop, but it is still not an easy task getting in, or out, of Koketsutani.

Seieiukeshi has become one of the largest demon slayer cities there is in this time period, as well as the best trained slayers to come out of the city. The training center is a huge building that is basically the tourist place for people these days. Slayers of great agility, perseverance, and strength come out of Seieiukeshi with people calling on them from the tip of Japan all the way to the boot. The city also must accommodate the people with the great markets of food and inns, but also have places for the slayers to buy weapons and utilities needed to kill off demons. Within Seieiukeshi, as well, is a priest temple where slayers come to receive the blessings and all for a safe job each time they live.

This community of slayers has been around for a while, and was perhaps one of the first ones, so when the movements began to make the profession more widespread, this town was one of the first to start growing. It almost seemed to take no time at all, really, for the average-sized community to become a large city. It’s certainly a place any demon would be fool to even come near. Wamorishi, the largest of the three known significant demon slayer communities, is certainly a hub of activity. It will often seem like a normal city, with the streets lined with shops, inns, restaurants, and the like, with vendors littered here and there, but at times it becomes obvious what the place is dedicated to - there are far more weapon shops here than any normal place, and it’s not uncommon for a lot of the residents to be waving their own about as they walk through the crowded streets. You learn to watch your surroundings because of this, as well…walking in crowds here can be dangerous, really. Well, and also there’s a large chunk of the city walled off just for the purpose of the slayers, as well, mostly for the practice areas. The city itself only attracts attention because of the service it provides, but considering the recent times, that means a fair amount of attention.

One of the second largest cities in Japan, Osaka is known for its merchant class, economic development, and its artistic background. Best known for its puppeteers, Theatre, and Geisha houses, Osaka is a community of laughter and enjoyment. Food is also a great pleasure in Osaka, as many come to taste the great cuisine they have to offer. There are a few shrines here and there for the priest and priestess of the cities that are great tourist spots, but most come for the artist and the city. Osaka is located at the mouth of the Yodo River on Osaka Bay.

Ginikisaiden is one of the most famous towns known to the culture of japan. Why would this be? The Silver Purity Shrine is located here, one of the most well known attractions within this town. Being said, Ginikisaiden is a town of activity. Along the streets are inns and shops that you can go and do what you need when needed. Also, whether a shop or a little booth outside are shops for food, ranging from sea food to beef and chicken. As stated, the major attraction was the Silver Purity Shrine, a large shrine where Iriye is well known for. The entrance toward it is framed with the crimson toriis (gateways) leading up to the shrine. Surrounding the area is thousands of cherry blossom trees. After climbing the stairs, the shrine is visible, with other buildings on each side. The shrine itself is huge, with all the buildings colors rangings from pearly-whites to crimson red. Decorated very elaborately, it is understood why this is a major tourist attraction.

Those who wish to become a Samurai go to Kyokkoujou for their training. One of the last clans there is, it is also one of the most prestigious schools there is. Many go through harsh training and difficult task to make it through, but those who do receive the special title of being a samurai and have their name placed within the halls of Kyokkoujou. Those who live in Kyokkoujou are usually related to a samurai: alive or dead. The market places are small, with very few to no inns. What is found here are herbiest who study in the art of medicine and herbs, those of the samurai clans, and also the study of magic and the arts to entertain those around them.

Kyoto was located in a valley, surrounded by the eastern part of the mountainous region known as the Tamba highlands. Sorrounding the three sides of Kyoto is the mountains known as Higashiyama, Kitayama and Nishiyam. This interior positioning results in hot summers and cold winters. There are three rivers in the basin, the Ujigawa to the south, the Katsuragawa to the west, and the Kamogawa to the east. Kyoto is a city that is known for its money in tourism, for it has natural monuments such as the imperial castle when it was once the capital and the temples of the priest and priestesses. Always decorated in color, the city is definitely one people live and love.

Population and civilizations have become far more abundant in the past century, and the proof is in the amount of towns and small villages that dot every corner of the map - humans have spread out everywhere, making it near impossible for demons to find a hiding place, from bustling trade and tourist hubs to simple backwater farming villages. There are a few demon communities left - however, they are very rare, and often hidden behind a barrier, so they cannot be discovered - the ones not under the protection of territories, anyhow.
